Patrick (Mike) McKenna is a partner at MCKENNA & SCHNEIER since the firm’s formation in 1977. His specific areas of interest and expertise are in alternative dispute resolution, labor and employment law, civil rights, municipal law, and zoning and land use. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1978 where he handles Florida probate and estate administration proceedings on behalf of New York based attorneys, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.
Mike graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1976. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the George Washington University. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1970 with Honors in Government.
Prior to attending law school, Mike worked as a political analyst for the political polling and consulting firm of Peter D. Hart Reasearch Associates, Inc. in Washington, D.C. and was a staff member on a number of national and state political campaigns. In recent years, Mike has served as a voter protection attorney during the 2004, 2008, and 2012 presidential campaigns in the State of Florida. In 2012, he was one of the attorneys on an amicus curiae brief challenging a New York State law that requires prisoners to be counted for purposes of redistricting as residents of their place of incarceration rather than at the place of their domicile.
